Peter Petrify:
Peter Petrify turned in a strong third-place finish at Saratoga Harness this week in a $13,000 race. He got away nicely from the 2 post and was right there throughout the entire mile. Pete closed well up the passing lane late and was a very close third in a fast race that went in 1:53 and change. He is now back in at Plainridge this Thursday in a $14,000 race, where he drew the 7 post with Mitch Cushing driving.
Beef N Cheddar:
Beef put in his best effort so far for the stable this week. Taking advantage of his rail draw, he blasted out to the early lead and was strong on the front end for much of the race before eventually being overtaken late by the heavy favorite. He held on gamely for a very close third place finish, missing by only a small margin. Beef is back in to race at Saratoga Harness this Saturday, where he drew the 6 post in a $13,000 race.
Manhattan Artist:
Manhattan Artist put in another solid effort this week from the 2 post, earning another third place finish for the stable. He is right back in to go in his usual class this Saturday at Saratoga Harness. He drew the rail and has been listed as the 7-2 second choice on the morning line. We look for him to take full advantage of his inside draw and put together another strong performance.
Beat Bobby Bayou:
Bobby did not race this past week, but he is back in to go this Saturday at Tioga Downs. He drew inside for the first time in 2026 with the 3 post in a six-horse field. We look forward to seeing him make just his third start of the season.
Cruzin America:
Cruzin held his own at Tioga Downs this week despite making a significant jump into Open company. Although he did not manage to hit the board, he put in a strong first-over move and battled the leader gamely before the class hike ultimately proved to be a bit too much. The race went in a very quick 1:50 and change. Cruzin returns to his usual class this Sunday at Tioga Downs, where he should be more competitive. He drew the 6 post with Braxten Boyd listed to drive.
Phantom Tom:
Tommy Boy made his return to the winner’s circle on Monday at Saratoga Harness from the 2 post. He put in a gutsy effort, grinding it out first-over and catching the leader right at the wire. Usual driver Jimmy Devaux gave him an excellent drive, and Tommy showed plenty of trot throughout the mile. We are thrilled to welcome him back to the winner’s circle for his first victory of the 2026 season. He will now move up in class for his next start at Saratoga Harness in a $9,000 race. He drew the 4 post, and we look for him to make it two in a row.
Dance Machine:
Coming off a tough first-over victory in his previous start, Dance Machine handled the step up in class at Buffalo Raceway quite well this week. He put in another strong effort, pacing nicely for a solid third-place finish. Trainer/Driver Denny “Booch” Bucceri has had great things to say about this horse, and we have been very pleased with his performances so far. He is right back in the same class this Saturday and drew the rail. We expect another strong effort this time out.
Wonka Bar:
Wonka Bar unfortunately did not get the opportunity to race this week due to the tragic barn fire that took place at Saratoga Harness on Tuesday, resulting in the cancellation of his race. We were very encouraged by his previous effort from the 6 post and believe he is more than ready to break through in this NW class. He is back in to go next Tuesday with usual driver Jim Devaux and drew the 4 post.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy, and we are truly saddened by the news.
Yamaka:
Coming off an impressive victory in his previous start, Yamaka turned in another strong effort this week. He finished a game second from the 6 post and was not far from making it two wins in a row. Yamaka has been extremely consistent lately and continues to thrive in Maine under the care of trainer Christopher Dubois. We await the entries but expect him to be right back in the same class.
RobinTheCradle:
Our newest addition, RobinTheCradle, who we claimed the previous week with trainer Nate Alexander, made his debut for the stable Monday night at Northfield Park in Ohio. He put in a great effort from the 3 post to finish second, just barely missing a winning debut for the stable. He was closing strongly late but just missed. This 3-year-old pacer appears to be a very nice horse, and we were thrilled to win the shake and establish our first-ever Ohio presence with Nate the Great. Nate plans to enter Robin in an Ohio fair race this week, which we are very excited about. We await the entries for details regarding his next start.
Besta Blue Chip:
Our Chapter Seven yearling, Besta Blue Chip, will be qualifying this Saturday morning at Saratoga Harness. We have heard nothing but great things about this colt and are very excited as he continues to get closer and closer to being race ready. He will qualify from the 4 post at approximately 9:40 a.m.
Top Notch Treasure: Our other yearling, Top Notch Treasure with trainer Chris Dubois will be qualifying this Sunday. Chris has also had great things to say about Top Notch and we are very excited to see how he has been coming along as well.
Again, it is with a heavy heart that we send our condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy at Saratoga this week. Our thoughts remain with the horsemen, families, and all those impacted during this incredibly difficult time.
