Beef N Cheddar
Beef N Cheddar was able to get into a race this week after initially being placed on the AE list. He fired out to the lead and remained strong on the front end throughout the mile. He fought gamely and was just barely caught at the wire, finishing a very strong second. We were extremely pleased with his effort, especially considering he almost didn’t even get into the race. He is right back in his usual class this week and unfortunately draws outside with the 8 post, but we look for another strong effort regardless.
Manhattan Artist
Arty got the week off this past week following a strong effort in his last start, and we now await the entries for his next race.
Yamaka
Yammy has struggled a bit to be competitive in his last few starts, but he will get a change of scenery this week with a start at Plainridge. He steps up into a tougher class, racing for an $11,000 purse, and draws the 6 post with Bruce Ranger in the bike. We think that the bigger track will help him out and look for an improved effort despite the step up in class.
Cruzin America
Cruzin picked up his first Ohio victory for the LLC with a gutsy win at Northfield Park this week. Driver Justin Irvine confidently handled him as the heavily backed 1/5 favorite, making a well-timed move and closing strongly to get to the wire first. It appears Cruzin is settling into his new home in Ohio well, and we look for him to continue to improve and build off this victory.
Dance Machine
Dance Machine got the week off this past week, and we await the entries for his next start.
Wonka Bar
Wonka put in a much-improved effort in his second start back at Saratoga Harness from the rail. He took advantage of the inside post and fired out to an early lead. Although he was eventually passed late, he put in a game effort and finished a solid third. Wonka has been steadily climbing the class ladder, and we have been very pleased with his recent form since switching over to the Harmon barn. We now await the entries for his next start.
RobinTheCradle
Robin picked up a massive win at Northfield Park in the 3-year-old Buckeye Series Claiming Final, racing for a purse of $30,000. Driver Justin Irvine fired him out to the early lead from the 5 post, and from there, he went on to wire the field. He controlled the tempo and remained strong on the front end throughout the mile. He faced one late challenge but was able to fight it off and hold on for the victory, with the rest of the field finishing well behind. Robin continues to impress us, and trainer Nate “The Great” Alexander has been doing a fantastic job with him. We are very excited to see him continue to progress and build off this impressive victory.
DiscoveringTheHunt
Hunt put in another solid effort Tuesday night at Yonkers, finishing fifth but missing the whole race by just a few lengths. She has continued to earn checks and prove that she can compete in these tough classes at Yonkers. She is right back in the same class this Tuesday night and moves inside to the 2 post, with Jim Marohn back in the bike.
Top Notch Treasure
Top Notch makes just his second start at Plainridge this Monday in another 2-year-old Sire Stakes race. He draws the 5 post with Yannick Gingras in the bike. We are very excited to see how he performs coming off a strong second-place finish from the 8 post in the Maine Sire Stakes Final.
