Week of April 7th
This past week we sent out the following horses:
The Y brothers, Yachtsman and Yamaka, both got the week off last week, but they are both in to go this week.
Yamaka drew the 5 post in a 7 horse field. We expect a strong effort out of him after just a little time off.
Yachtsman unfortunately drew the 8 post, but he is in a Maine Amateur Driving Club Race, so anything can happen with these up and coming stars of the game.
We are happy to have both of the Y brothers back in action this week and are optimistic about their chances.

Phantom Tom:
He definitely showed improvement this week. He got away nicely from the 4 post and ran a strong race for third place, just missing second. The #6 horse was much the best that day, coming in from Yonkers with Brett Beckwith driving, but Tom looked solid out there and we were very pleased with his effort. The bettors showed him respect as he got bet down to 2-1 as well. He seems to be steadily improving and we expect continued strong efforts from him going forward.
⸻
Wonka Bar:
Wonka Bar made his second start of 2026 in Race 1 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, with the tough draw from the 8 post, he did not manage to pick up a check this week. However, he did get some respect from the bettors, and Mike Sardella picked him to show in his handicapping selections. After drawing outside in both of his starts, we’re hoping for an inside draw next time out and we expect to see a much better effort from a better post position. This was only his second start of the year, and we expect him to continue improving as his 3 year old season progresses.
⸻
Peter Petrify N:
Peter Petrify N was the star of the show this week. Finally getting an inside post and a good trip, he got right to the lead and never looked back. He went on to wire the field easily and picked up his first win for the stable.
He looked very sharp and is steadily improving. He is back in to go this Saturday and, despite moving up in class and drawing the 8 post, is still listed at 9-2 on the morning line. We expect him to have so much pace coming off this victory, and as long as he can work out a good trip from the outside, he should be a major factor again this week.
Look out for him in Race #5 on Saturday, April 11th.
