Weekly Update

This past week, we sent out the following horses:

Yamaka was the star of the stable yet again this week with another dominant wire-to-wire victory in the Cumberland Derby from the 5 post. He fired right to the lead despite the extra distance of a mile and a quarter, as well as the step up in class, and he still made it look easy out there. After winning two in a row, and picking up the first ever Derby win for the stable, trainer Chris Dubois stated that Yamaka is “living his best life, and will be racing again this Saturday“ looking to make it three in a row.

Phantom Tom: Tom put in a solid effort from the 8 post this week, closing hard to pickup a 4th place check. Despite his outside draw he made up some ground and wasn’t far off from third. We know that Tom is going through a bit of a slow phase right now so we will continue to be patient with him while he figures things out and gets back into the groove.

Peter Petrify N: Pete put in a strong effort from the 4 post this week. He finished a very strong third in a $9,000 race, earning a nice check for the stable. He was up against some tough horses and still held his own and was very competitive. Trainer/Driver Irvin Crews was very happy with the effort Pete put in as well. He is back in to go in the same class from the 6 post this week on Saturday in Race 4.

Wonka Bar: Wonka got the week off this week. The last update we received from trainer Gary Levine is that he will be racing on Lasix going forward, which could help address his previous late fades. We’re optimistic about improvement in his next start. We expect he will be in to go this week and we will keep an eye out for the entries.

On some additional good news, trainer Chris Dubois shared an update on one of our yearlings, “Top Notch Treasure” noting that he has been doing great.

We also continue to hear great things about our Chapter Seven Yearling, “Besta Blue Chip,” from the great fellow trainer, Kevin Mcdermott. Kevin has been training his yearling “Munster Truck” alongside Besta and he has had nothing but positive things to say.

It was a solid week for the stable and we will be back with another update next week
