Weekly Update
Weekly Stable Update
This past week, we sent out the following horses:
Yamaka
Yamaka raced very well at Cumberland, finishing a game second once again. Over his last four starts, he now has two wins and two second-place finishes. He was just narrowly caught at the wire in a very fast 1:56.4 mile for the class. Yamaka continues to be in terrific form right now and has become a very consistent ATM machine for the stable. We are awaiting this week’s Cumberland entries, but expect him to return in the same class.
Phantom Tom
With the help of a scratch and a break, Tom managed to pick up another fifth-place check this week from the 7 post. Unfortunately, Phantom Tom has not been doing much for the stable since returning this season. He is currently racing in the lowest class available at Saratoga but continues to struggle. At this point, all we can do is hope trainer Gary Levine goes back to the drawing board and re-evaluates the best path forward.
Peter Petrify N
Pete put in a phenomenal effort at Plainridge this week in his debut for the Quevedo barn. We could not have asked for a better drive from driver Mitch Cushing, who got everything possible out of Pete. He aggressively sent him right to the lead and battled hard throughout the stretch. Although he was just caught late for the win, he still finished a very strong second in a speedy 1:51.4 mile. We believe the 5/8-mile track and aggressive driving style of Mitch Cushing suit Pete very well, and we expect him to be right back in next week.
Wonka Bar
Despite drawing well from the 3 post, Wonka Bar essentially paced a straight line around the track evenly and managed to pick up another fifth-place check in his usual NW1 class. It was not a very exciting performance. There is not a whole lot to say other than we hope trainer Gary Levine can make the necessary adjustments and do whatever needs to be done to get Wonka Bar more competitive next time out.
Beat Bobby Bayou
Bobby qualified well once again, and we are ecstatic to announce that he is entered for his 2026 debut this Sunday in Race 1 at Tioga Downs. It has been quite the journey with this horse, and we are extremely excited to see him back on the track. Bobby unfortunately drew the 7 post, but if he is even half the horse we remember from last season, we believe he has a strong chance against this field.

Stable News & Additions
In other news, we added several new horses and trainers to the stable this week. We are excited to officially welcom trainers Amanda Kelley and Edwin Quevedo to the team.
Amanda Kelley will be training our newest addition, Beef N Cheddar, who is entered this Saturday at Saratoga Harness in Race 7. He drew the 7 post, so we will just see how he does his first time out.
We also added another new horse to the stable in the $7,500 claiming class at Saratoga Harness, Manhattan Artist, who will be trained by Irvin Crews. We will be giving him the week off, and he is expected to return to the races next week.
And last but certainly not least, we claimed new horse “Dance Machine” for our new trainer Denny Bucceri, AKA “BOOCH” at Buffalo Raceway. Booch has had nothing but great things to say about this horse and we are very excited to open up this new position in Buffalo. We expect he will be in to go this weekend and just await the entries.
